Taryn Snyder and Betsy Drinan from the Boston Teachers Union School have been invited to join John King, Acting US Secretary of Education, for tea on Wednesday, May 18 in Washington, DC as part of a group of 10 people assembled to provide input on one of King’s priorities–lifting up and supporting the teaching profession. Taryn and Betsy were invited to the tea as a result of their participation in the Teacher Powered Schools network, a collaboration of over 90 teacher-led or teacher-powered schools across the country.
