Join ThisWorldMusic® and UMass Amherst from July 1-23, 2015 as we journey to the scenic coastal village of Kopeyia in Ghana (Africa) where cultural traditions passed down for centuries are kept alive in their original form. Participants live and study at the world-renowned Dagbe Cultural Institute & Arts Centre, receiving hands-on professional instruction from local artists in traditional African music, dance and craft making.

BTU Offers “Getting Started with Google Drive”
The BTU is happy to present Google Docs/Drive support for beginners who have very little or no comfort or experience using these tools. The course will give participants a basic understanding of Google Docs and a working knowledge of how this powerful web application can be applied in the classroom. Sign up on MyLearningPlan (will be posted shortly) for course dates and times. Must attend all four sessions. Course begins January 28.
This course will be facilitated by BTU Member Nick Gonzales. We are also in search of educators proficient in using Google tools and who can help people solve basic laptop problems to serve as course assistants. This is a paid opportunity. For more information, contact Paul.

Grants of up to $5,000 for individuals or $10,000 for teams will be for Summer 2015 and will underwrite professional development of your own design that will benefit you, your students and your school.
