2017 Summer Organizing Institute: July 5-7
Register to attend the 2017 Summer Organizing Institute, which will take place July 5-6 from 9 AM to 3 PM and Friday July 7 from 9 AM to 12:30 PM. Come learn about our future challenges as a union, learn about ways to fight back, and develop the skills needed to strengthen our union. Our guest speaker will be Amy Mizialko, the Milwaukee Teachers Union Vice-President (see her bio). The Summer Organizing Institute is open to all BTU members, both active and retired. State House Hearing on Impact of Level 4/5 Accountability System on our Schools
If you missed the hearing, you can view the excellent testimonies. Thank you to the teachers, students and parents from Excel, Brighton, Mattahunt, Grew, Dearborn amongst others who represented us well by sharing the data, concerns and harmful impacts on our school communities.
