The BTU and BPS reached a tentative agreement on Tuesday, March 18th following more than a year of collective bargaining. The ratification vote is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9th, at the BTU Hall. There are two Zoom information sessions where members can ask question scheduled for March 27th, 6-7pm, and March 31st, 7-8pm. Contract Bargaining Updates

The bargaining process with Boston Public Schools regarding the 2024-27 iteration of our union contract began on February 29th, 2024. The BTU Negotiating Team met with BPS management for more than 40 sessions over the course of a year before reaching a tentative agreement.

The BTU followed a new model for this contract campaign centered around transparency. Members attended each negotiation session to witness proceedings first-hand and gave their expert testimony on proposals at the negotiation table. We are deeply grateful to all of the members who attended negotiation sessions. Your presence, advice and participation resulted in improved policies that will have a real impact on our students and your colleagues.
