Please join us for the Boston premiere of the acclaimed documentary Backpack Full of Cash on Wednesday, September 13 from 7-9:30 PM. Immediately following the film, Matt Damon, Nancy Carlsson-Paige, BTU President Jessica Tang, the filmmakers and others will discuss how we can stop the corporatization of our public schools. Back to School Fair: Saturday, September 23

Please plan to join us from 1-3 PM on Saturday, September 23 for our Back to School Fair! We have flyers available in six languages on our website. Boston Parent Needs Assessment: Saturday, September 9

Join Boston parents and guardians from 9:30 AM to 12 PM on Saturday, September 9 at the BTU for an opportunity to speak with other community members about violence in our city and the needs of parents our children. Read more.

We have updated the PowerPoint to adapt and share (find it under Back to School Resources). If you do not have a Building Rep or have not received your packet, please email shoulder@btu.org ASAP! Remember that ALL members, both current and new, must fill out the updated membership card or update their information online and turn it in to you to bring to the first membership meeting on Wednesday, September 13.

Building Rep Conference: October 13-15

Please register for the 2017 Annual Building Rep Conference! This year’s conference will take place at the Dedham Hilton Hotel from Friday, October 13 at 5 PM through Sunday, October 15 at noon. There is no cost to attend the conference when rooming with another Building Rep or commuting, but a deposit check of $250 is required before the September 30 deadline. Please read details about the conference and register today!
