Thank to you everyone who joined us at a March for Our Lives on Saturday! Seeing such an outpouring of support for the powerful youth leading this movement was phenomenal.

Let’s keep this momentum building! Take a quick action today for fully funded, safe schools: send your email now. As educators, we know that fully funding our schools will help them stay safe and also provide our students with all the staff and resources they need to be successful.

In the next few weeks, legislators at the State House will be voting on the budget. That’s why it’s so important that you take 30 seconds to send an email to House Speaker Robert DeLeo and Ways and Means Chair Jeffrey Sanchez to let them know we support fully funded and safe schools.

For more on school funding, check out these Globe articles: “School-funding battles date back 4 decades” and “Fix the Mass. education funding formula.”

As we look towards the end of March and Women’s History Month, we hope you will join us this Saturday, March 31 for our annual Women’s Leadership Breakfast. See the BTU event for more.

We are determined to finally have our March Membership Meeting this Wednesday! While Councilor Janey is no longer able to join us, we are thrilled to let you know that two youth organizers of the Boston March for our Lives, Charlotte Lowell and Vikiana Petit-homme (see her op-ed), will join us to share more about next steps in the campaign for safer schools and communities.

Please see the full meeting agenda, and don’t forget to sign up for childcare if you need it.

See you Wednesday, and have a great week!
