Good day to each of you. A belated thank you to our veterans who have served our country. We celebrated last Wednesday in their honor. We also reflect here on the loss of life in France over the weekend. We also reflect solemnly on the loss of life elsewhere and the need for peace throughout the world. The membership meeting will be held this Wednesday, November 18 at 4:30 PM. Prior to the meeting there will a few tables set up to delve into a variety of issues: Michael McLaughlin will have a table on performance evaluation, Jessica Tang on organizing committees, Nicole Mullen on pilot school issues, Paul Tritter on ILTs and Professional Development, and Richard on tax-sheltering plans aka 403Bs and Deferred Compensation. Our first community forum on the BTU contract is tonight. Please see the section below on BTU organizing events, and check out the flyer for more information. If you have had to cover a class for a missing substitute teacher or if you have been asked to receive students from a class that should have — but did not have — a substitute provided, please see the form for payment and also see the section below.
