NEW — Arnold Arboretum Summer Institute 2018: Investigating Ecosystems Through Field Work
This course is specifically geared towards BPS teachers in grades 3-12 who want to learn about ways to use the outdoors to teach life science standards. It is free, and BPS participants who complete the four-day institute are guaranteed a free bus to bring their students to the Arboretum during the 2018-2019 school year for self-guided explorations. Read more and apply. Lead a Session at Teacher Summer Institute: Call For Proposals
Thank you to all educators who have already submitted proposals for priority consideration to TSI 2018! BPS and the BTU are committed to educator-led professional learning and we are so excited many of our educators will be sharing their learning with their peers across the district. You may submit through Tuesday, June 26. All BTU member workshop presenters are eligible for a $250 honorarium. Get started at the Call for Session Proposals.

DEADLINE — Summer Pathway Programs: Apply by Friday
The summer Pathway Programs for Severe and Moderate Disabilities and for ESL licensure will be held in July and are posted on My Learning Plan. Interested BPS staff need to register for the application process on My Learning Plan. The deadline has been extended to this Friday, June 8. Summer PD with Place-Based Boston
Place-Based Boston: A Teaching and Learning Collaborative is once again hosting a summer teacher professional development opportunity. Participating BPS teachers will explore iconic sites of Boston through the lens of the standards and practices that will be adopted by the BPS History and Social Studies Department in the 2018-19 school year and will develop a place-based experience at one of the partner sites for implementation in the fall of 2018. Read more and apply.
